87-year-old SF woman killed in Western Addition hit-and-run

(BACN)-Police said on Friday that a 87-year-old woman was wounded by a Western addition driver, San Francisco earlier this week, surrendered to her injuries, police said on Friday. The collision was reported at 8:46 pm on Monday in the Filmour and McClister Street area, where the woman’s vehicle was hit while walking in a corridor, according to San Francisco police.

The driver escaped and remains in general. Police spokeswoman Alison Maxi said the victim was taken to the hospital and surrendered to her injuries on Friday. Her name was not immediately available from the city’s medical examination office.

The Dawa Group of Infantry in San Francisco said the case is the fourth infantry in the city for 2025.

“We are sad to get to know another life that has been lost in the streets of our city,” Judy Mediros, CEO of Walk SF, said in a statement. “Our hearts go out to their loved ones and the victim’s society.”

The group calls on the city’s elected leaders to adopt new policies aimed at reducing or eliminating traffic deaths in San Francisco. Walk SF and other organizations have a gathering on the steps of the city hall on Tuesday afternoon.
