7-Eleven worker 'clinically dead' after alleged attack by store manager in Hollywood, family says

A Hollywood 7-Eleven employee died after being attacked by her store director during a seizure last week, according to her family.

It was at about 2:15 pm on June 24, according to the Los Angeles Police Department, when officers from the Welshire department responded to a call about a felony battery in the 5700 store of Millempic Street.

Lapd said that a quarrel occurred between a victim and a suspect, as they entered an oral argument that turned into physical. The officers arrived to find a woman in her twenties who are unconscious on the ground with critical injuries. She was transferred to the hospital, but the police say that the suspect escaped from the scene before the authorities arrived. No arrests were announced as of June 30.

The victim’s family members are identified as Jessica McLeulin. Her brother, Sean McLeulin, told KTLA that Jessica was approaching the end of her transformation when she started the assistant manager to restore her and threw a bottle on her. He said that the situation escalated after that.

Other employees told the family that the manager had suspended Jessica on the ground and took over, causing the loss of oxygen and the loss of consciousness in the end. Then the assistant manager tried to delete the store monitoring footage before fleeing on a bike, according to Sean.

Doctors told the family that a lack of oxygen caused irreversible brain damage. Jessica announced a clinical dead, and her family planned to get her support from life on Tuesday or Wednesday, pending the funeral arrangements. According to what was reported, her loved ones were told before the accident that she was suffering from bullying at work.

Jessica’s father remained next to her at the Hollywood Hospital, where the family grieves and calls for justice.

Sean McLeulin launched Gofundment To raise money for the funeral of Jessica, writing: “Jessica McLeulin is my sister – but she is much more. She is a daughter, the best friend, and the type of aunt dreams every child with her existence … She had a beautiful spirit and deserved much better than the way her life was from her life.”

He described how co -workers tried to give Jessica CPR after the attack, but the damage had already happened.

He wrote: “The doctors and the detective later confirmed what we already knew in our hearts – Jessica did nothing wrong. She was the victim, and this attack was supposed to happen.”

“We are now trying to give her goodbye to her … … if you can help – whether it is by donating or sharing this – this means everything for us.”

KTLA has reached 7-Eleven in relation to this incident and is awaiting a response. The investigation is still ongoing, and LAPD is still looking for the suspect.
