6 hospitalized in downtown Long Beach crash

Six people were transferred to the hospital after being crashed in the center of Long Beach on Saturday.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and Ocean Boulevard Street, opposite the Long Beach Terrace theater, shortly before 1:30

Two cars with severe damage were found at the scene – the Kia Rio Sedan gray and the black sporty Honda Civic.

A preliminary investigation conducted by Long Beach police indicated that a car with five women on the inside was heading in the Ocean Street. When they turned to the left into Long Beach Boulevard, a car was hit with one male driver inside.

The effect was sent that Kia collided with a traffic pole in the middle and Honda landed on the sidewalk across the street.

Six people were transferred to the hospital with various injuries. At least one woman was transferred in critical but stable condition. The police did not confirm which passengers were inside every vehicle.

The photos from the scene showed that both cars were severely damaged to the front ends. A large amount of automatic debris has been spread through the intersection.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The police said that the speed and weakness of the leadership are factors.

No details have been released, including drivers’ identities.
