Multiple media reported that three members of the California family are missing after their vacation home in Hunt, Texas swept into the destroyed floods that killed more than 100 people.
The Walker family, Mark, 51, and his wife Sarah and their 14 -year -old son Johnny from Kantfield in Marin Province.
Mark’s younger brother, Tyler Walker, who installed in San Francisco giants from 2004 to 2008, flew to Texas during the weekend after learning the devastating news, Marin Independent Magazine mentioned.
Tyler managed to reunite the daughter of the lost family, his 16 -year -old niece, Elie, who escaped from the Guadalobi River in a camp and the nearby.
Heavy rains were sent to the bottom of the water, causing the river to rise 26 feet in less than an hour around the dawn on July 4. The huge water wall overwhelmed tents, trailers and ambushes along the banks of the river, including the Mystic camp where at least 27 camps died in the Christian girls camp, and 10 other missing girls and consultants died.
Many survivors are found clinging to trees above or in the rapid waters.
Cathy Walker, the mother of Mark and Tyler, told the magazine that she was in contact with Mark while the family was at the Riverid vacation home, but she had not heard from him since the floods.
“All we can do is pray and wait a miracle at this stage,” she said to the director.
The 14 -year -old missing son was entering his first year at Marin Catholic Secondary School, where there was a prayer service for the family this evening, Los Angeles Times mentioned.
“In tragic times like this, we move to God and pray for the Walker family and all the victims of the devastating floods in Texas,” according to the statement. “We are still praying for a miracle in the hope that Elie will be reunited with her mother, father and brother.”
As of the latest update of state officials in Texas, it is still believed that more than 160 people are missing as a result of catastrophic floods.
