3 killed and 8 injured in North Carolina waterfront bar shooting

Soutbort, North Carolina (AP) – The authorities said at least a person wounded late from eight others late on Saturday when someone opened fire from a boat to a crowd of people in an abundant water bar in a coastal town in North Carolina, the authorities said.

The shooting erupted at about 9:30 pm near a famous sphere of bars and restaurants on the waterfront in Soutbort, a historic port city about 30 miles (48 km) south of Wilmengton. The investigators said the attacker tried a small boat near the beach, stopped for a short time and shot the crowd before he rushed.

Almost half an hour later, the American Coast Guard crew discovered a person who matches the suspect’s description as a boat of water on a public slope on the near island of Ok. Officials said that the person was arrested and handed over to the Southport police for interrogation.

The authorities have not identified the suspect or say what had led to the attack on the American fish company. Investigators remained from multiple agencies – including the state’s investigation office and coast guard – on the water and at the scene on Sunday they collected evidence and witnesses of witnesses.

Officials immediately did not issue the names of those who were killed or say information about the conditions of those who were injured.
