3 arrested after police find over $4,000 worth of stolen merchandise in Orange County

Three suspects were arrested after police found more than $4,000 worth of stolen merchandise in Irvine.

The suspects were identified as Dayana Rosa Hernandez, 55, of Los Angeles, Luz Dari Soto, 52, of Los Angeles, and Michelle Rivera Taborda, 20, of Anaheim, according to the Irvine Police Department.

On October 6, security personnel discovered a suspicious truck with expired license plates from another state in the parking lot of the Irvine Spectrum Center.

Police said they continued to monitor the suspects and saw them entering several stores where they were seen stealing merchandise.

Irvine Police were notified and when the robbers attempted to leave the area, officers stopped them. While searching their truck, police found a large amount of stolen clothing and merchandise from Lululemon, Sephora, Ralph Lauren, and Victoria’s Secret.

The total value was estimated at more than $4,000.

The three suspects were arrested for organized retail theft and booked into the Orange County Jail.
