2 arrested on felony child endangerment warrant following child’s death

The authorities said that two people were detained in Tourans for the child being associated with a case in which a child died.

Officials announced that the investigators of the Torrance Police Department, who are working alongside the Agency’s Community Officers team, carried out the arrests of Jenina Magelueco and Charles Wumak. Both suspects were detained without an accident and they were held awaiting accusation.

The administration has not released more details about the conditions of the child’s death, noting a continuous investigation.

In a statement, interim police chief Robert Den said that the case confirms the administration’s commitment to protect the weak population.

“We are taking allegations that children are seriously exposed to danger,” Den said. “Our officers have worked hard to arrest these individuals, and we are clean to ensure the safety of our society and we will continue to work tirelessly to protect our most weak population.”

The Office of the Prosecutor for the province of Los Angeles is expected to deal with the case.
